Participation "on-line" (which he, in my view, rightly hoped) might be a good way to involve the basic policy of the party, but the Internet is only a means, what matters is the content. If you use only as a "poll" the mood of the people as a tool or technology to replace an X drawn in pencil with crushing of a button on the PC, then we would not have made any progress. Conversely, if the citizens can use the internet (blogs, forums and social networking sites like Facebook) to express political views to participate actively in the formulation of proposed laws to propose and select the candidates to check the activities of their representatives pursuant to the mandate, and possibly even desirable, to vote in the primaries, then the PDL can really do it for towing a renewal of the policy, its methods and its ruling class.
